Mini Biography
Regarded as one of the best young actresses of her generation, Lacey Chabert started in drama and music performances in and around her home town in Mississippi from an early age, and was a finalist in Star Search '91. She gained her break in a cough syrup commercial, before successfully auditioning for the Broadway production of Les Miserables, where she played young Cosette for two years.
Since then she has been on a few television series, notably Party of Five, a number of telemovies like Gypsy, and this year made her big-screen debut in Lost in Space.
Known for her natural acting skills and charming personality, her cotton candy voice has seen her record many advertising jingles, plus play parts in animated films and TV shows like Nickelodeon's The Wild Thornberries. A more than capable violinist, she enjoys various activities, especially shoe shopping, and she is particularly fond of Cajun cooking. As a result of her promising career, her family, including two sisters and a brother, have moved from Mississippi to California.

Lacey appeared as young Cosette in the musical Les Misérables on Broadway.
As "an avid photographer" and "a strong supporter of programs that encourage teens to spend their time creatively and productively", judged and promoted Eastman Kodak Company's "The Yearbook Click", a national in-school photography contest for the 1999-2000 school year.
To say that Lacey is "actually playing" the violin on "Party of Five" (1994) is a bit misleading. While Lacey's background in violin does allow her to provide convincing bowing and fingering, the instrument she plays on set is muted, and another musician's playing is later dubbed in.
Lacey was originally chosen to play Chloe Steele in Left Behind: The Movie (2000) (V) , but a scheduling conflict made that impossible. Janaya Stephens got the role instead.
The character she plays in Not Another Teen Movie (2001) is a spoof of the role her former "Party Of Five" (1994) classmate, Jennifer Love Hewitt, played in Can't Hardly Wait (1998).
